 ***Consignor Questions***

Q. Who can consign their items and become a seller
A. Anyone can consign their children and maternity items with Just Between Friends. We request that you have a minimum of 20 items or $100 worth of items.

Q. Do consignors get to shop before the public?
A. Yes, consignors can shop the Pre-sale night before we open to the public. You may bring one guest with you to shop. Both must have a pass that you will pick up when you drop off your items. Children 12 years old or older may be considered a consignors guest with a  pass.

Q. Are children allowed at the presale?
A. Children under 12 years old are not allowed at the presale. Nursing infants are allowed any time. Children 12 years old or older may be considered a consignor's guest with a pass.

Q. Are nursing infants excluded from the "No Children at Presales" rule?
A. Nursing infants (non-walking) are allowed at presales. We still strongly urge you to find someone to watch your precious child as your shopping experience will greatly improve without the added responsibility.

Q. What percentage of the sales do I receive?
A. Consignors receive 65% of their sales less a $10 consignor fee (deducted from your check). We do have some special incentives and ways to earn a higher percentage. Check out our "
sales incentives" page.

Q. Who does the pricing?
A. You set your own price and you get to decide if it is discounted on our half-price day. Check out our "
Merchandise Prep" page for pricing guidelines.

Q. What percentage of my items can I expect to sell?
A. Most sellers sell approximately 80% of their items in sizes 2-10. For sizes under 24 months, the percentage drops due to the sheer volume of merchandise received.

Q. How do I sign up to consign?
A. You can sign up to join our mailing list at any time and get assigned a number. However, to participate as a consignor you will need to sign up during the "OPEN" online time. We will send out information when online sign ups open. Click on our "
Online Signup" button and fill out the form. You will receive an email confirmation within moments.

Q. How do I get an account to start tagging my items?
A. Visit our tagging system website www.myjbftags.com and set up an account using the assigned nnumber from our online sign up. It is very simple to add your merchandise and print tags.

Q. How long should I give myself to drop off my items?
A. We have a short check in process where you will register and receive your pre-sale pass. Your items will be inspected and then you will place them in the designated areas around the sales floor. If you have a lot of smaller items, you will want to bring something to carry them in while putting them out on the floor. Allow 60 minutes minimum for drop off.

Q. When and where do I drop off my items?
A. Drop off is on Wednesday night and Thursday the week of the sale.

Q. When do I pick up my unsold items?
A. Unsold items are to be picked up on Monday the last day of the sale. For exact times,
Click here for details. All items left after the pick up time will be donated to our charity partners.Donation receipts will be mailed with your check.

Q. What if I work and can't make the pickup time work for my schedule?
A. You are welcome to have a friend pick up your items for you. You will need to call us, send a note or let us know via email that someone else will be picking up your items.

Q. Do I have to sort through the racks to find my unsold items?
A. No, when you pick up your unsold items, your hanging garments will already be sorted by Consignor# for easy pickup. As time and volunteer sign-ups allow, we hope to have all of the other items sorted as well.

Q. How long does it take to receive my check?
A. Your check will be mailed to you within two weeks (fourteen days) of the end of the sale.

Q. Will I know what items have sold?
A.  You will be able to see what items sold on www.myjbftags.com at the end of the sale day. Please note, if you hand write tags or your items barcode doesn't scan at checkout, you won't be able to see what items sold. You will need to wait until you receive a check to estimate your selling items sold.

Q. Where do I find safety pins and child sized hangers?
A. Safety pins are available at Target, Wal-mart and any store that carries fabric and sewing supplies. Unfortunately, Walmart has discontinued carrying the wire hangers that we have used in the past. I suggest saving the child sized plastic hangers from your purchases and using these to cut down on cost. We prefer child sized hangers (any type) and your items will look better therefore sell better on these. However, you are welcome to use what you have.

Q. I have looked everywhere and can't find child-sized wire hanger...what do you want me to do?

A. For now, use what you have. Please still try to put the size 4 and under on child sized hangers and the size 5 and above can go on the larger hangers.

Q. If I consign my items, do I have to stay during the sale?
A. No. Consignors drop off their items and put them out on the sale floor during the designated drop-off times and come back during the designated times to pick up their unsold items.

Q. What items are you taking?
A. We accept anything related to babies, children or maternity. The clothing must be current season, except maternity.
